any idea what i can use to remove the wax that is everywhere in my engine bay? i have tried white spirt, alloy wheel cleaner, oven cleaner, de greaser and brake cleaner but nothing seems to shift it......

wipe it off with petrol,the other method i have used is a paint stripper on a cooler setting Thumbs up

The heat gun approach works well.
I've used blow torches before now (in empty bays) or a steamer would do it.
