| this has been my project for the last 6 months.... its a 1974 jeans edition beetle 1200cc that we swapped for a mk2 scirocco the beetle has been sat in storage for 6 years and had been off the road for 11 years. i got the car in bits, just needed putting together, as it had a respray before it was stored. once i had got it home realised that lost of bit were missing, however my luck was in when i had a knock on the door by a fella asking if i needed any beetle parts. turned out he had every thing i needed and was all brand new as he had given up on his 1974 project! has just sailed thro an mot and is now on the road, and in time for Bug jam. hears a few picks of what i have been up to painted under my arches and waxoiled. and fitted my rear wings runner boards fitted lights and indicators fitted have also had to do some wirering, as the rear light looms were melted together, wire in a horn and washer pump and run new wires for front indicators. have also had liam wet flatting and moping to make best of the paint. hears a pick now it on the road | |
