| Cheers for the comments guys, and Jim's... err... yeah. Anyway, a quick pic of the Storm Motorwerks weighted titanium shift knob... And a quick sneaky pic of the wheels fitted with the fresh paint & new centre-caps (the caps are brushed aluminium effect reflecting the light, not white). Please excuse the tyre mounting paste/jizz and general filthy-ness of the car too... Thanks to Alex and Charlie for putting up with my retarded tyres. Got there in the end! All running ok and will be on for Players. Looking forward to the weekend now. | |

I know what you mean, they aren't as impressive. The white was nice, but I felt it was a little childish and "look at me!" really. That and the fact that they'll be easier to sell on in Silver. Probably be up for grabs pretty soon too as I want some Futura's so not too fussed. At least it's better than how I originally got them! - mad4it wrote:

Hell no, 18's look gash on E36's! Not exactly true Mr Ford! I'll dig out a couple of pics that prove you wrong! Anyhow, after sorting out my ludicrous ride height and wonky rear spring, the car was driveable again. Took me all afternoon from getting back from Players, but hopefully she'll be good to go for Westside next weekend. Here's a little shot I took this evening after straightening her out...

Not quite... Admittedly both sets are BBS RK's and the orange ones are a bit "inyoface" but I love 'em. I think that's what I'd be after next. 18x8.5 BBS RK in a lairy turquoise. Yummy. - matty_mk1 wrote:

Front looks good, back needs more lows Yeah man, was good weather up until 3ish too! Dammit. Back looks super high in that pic as i'm running thinner spacers and jacked the back up a little after fixing the springs up. Gonna have a little bit of a play tonight with the rears and hopefully get it sitting right again.

Even 19's work! Have to be low on both 18's and 19's but it's possible to pull 'em off... Ignore the awful air-ride reverse rake in that pic though. Obviously i'd be running rake. Just don't wanna have to fork out for 19" tyres...

What was up with the rear sping/s in the end then dude? cant work out how the handbrake fuckedshitup Wheels i'm looking at are 18x8.5, so with a 205/40/18 on them it'll work out at EXACTLY the same rolling radius as my dailies (195/55/16's on 16x7's). Much better in comparison to the current 17" MIM's which have a lower radius which put's my speedo out. I hate the fact the car shows more mileage than it's actually been doing. Also, 18's will allow me to keep the arch near the wheel lip and not have to worry about smashing the underside of my car in. I dunno, it's just an idea at the moment. The RC041's were for sale for a set of 18's originally but instead I got the MIM's. Go figure! The rear offside spring just appears to have sagged. It's not holding it's tension as well as the other side, so i'll order a better pair next month. Probably get some that are cabriolet rated so they should be a bit stiffer at the rear. Seems a bit bouncy at times. For the time being i've just put the adjusters back in and raised one side to even it out and avoid any scary underside f**k-ups. I hit something directly under the centre console area of the car and it shocked through the chassis. Didn't sound good. I think that may have knackered a bolt that was holding the handbrake on as when i ripped the console out, it was fucked. Got the bolt out and bolted in another. Stopped the horrible underside rattling noise, re-attached the handbrake and seems fine now.
