So after the golf rolling round look like this for a while:



At first I wanted to go with the whole red strip thing, but in the end decided to go for a bit of chrome!

So then came the 7 slat:



And then a free interior from someone breaking a MK2, (poverty driver spec, as you can see in need of a clean) and an OMP steering wheel:



And then finally, some pressed plates and an 8v GTI splitter, and some "homemade" chrome strip bumpers until funds allow me to get some:



Still after a change of wheels, preferably something 15" and 7j, but really happy with how it's coming along after so long with no interest and progress in it.

Woke up Thursday morning to find someone had scraped down the side of the Golf, leaving the door nicely caved in



A few hours in the day later and my pocket 40 quid lighter



Bit annoying really, but you'd never know as the dent guy who we use at work is amazing, would really recommended him to anyone.

Just as shame people don't swap their details when they think it's "just some old shitty car" that no one cares about.

Picked up the new wheels today, unfortunately the tyres aren't too good and I'm now at 4x4 height with a ridiculous amount of rubbing

So I finally got some 15" wheels in the form of Audi Pepperpots (6j 5x100) however these have been re-drilled to 4x100.

The tyre size is awful, and the ad was wrong so after driving 3 hours to go and get them, we realised I might aswell get them even though the tyre size is absolutely no use to me.

It currently sits like a 4x4 with the balloon tyres on, although with the weather it's actually not too bad even though it rubs like hell! So I think it'll stay like this for a few weeks until the weather cheers up and funds allow me to get some 165/50/15 Bridgestones!

As above, finally got the 165/50's on the pepperpots, hoping the coilies settle a little bit and now need to wait for payday to get some 20mm spacers on the rear!

Cheers Liam, my smaller splitter got bent as F**K on the base of a security pole down my old mans yard, so it went in the bin and I got given that one for free!

give me a txt if you want a small one, can get you a brand new one for peanuts from you know where

The Golf's now been SORN'd and won't reappear for a few months.

Hopefully it'll be better when it comes back and I'll have some money and a bit more interest in it
