MK2 Golf 1.6 Driver!

Finally after a long time of wanting for a MK2 I finally have one!

It's a capri green 1.6 Driver (pics should be below!)

I got it for a very good price but it needed work but luckily thanks to euro car parts and a very good friend it hasn't cost me much at all to get it mechanically solid!

It's had new coilovers, new wishbones, bearings + brakes all round, fuel lines properly sorted and a few other bits!


It's got it's MOT tomorrow so hopefully it'll pass and we can get it on the road!

And here she is now looking pretty standard before the MOT (only at that height so the MOT station don't have a field day)

It looks really clean and you dont see many in that colour.
Cant wait to see it all done

Unfortunatly the MOT's gotta be cancelled and done some point next week as the handbrake's been playing up so we've now got some cables on order!

Finally, it's MOT'd and on the road!

My mate took it for MOT saturday morning then we nipped down to the post office to get it taxed.

First thing was to get the coilies wound down and then give it a proper clean.

really happy with it, just a few little things to tidy up and i've got some plans so hopefully things should start coming along nicely.

ahh i've just been texting ben, wanted to know if i knew anyone after some wheels he had. He told me to look on here for his mates capri green mk2!

yeah his mk2 is proper sorted now! yeah he's shifting his d90's with adapters i think!

yeah he said he went to college with you and you missed yours!

He sent me a pic of his golf on the new ra's that are on it looks awesome.

Mine wasn't anything special but i miss it all the same, i think i'd be tempted to swap the vr for another 16v

the vr is lovely! im loving this at the moment, got some plans but it seems kinda common bits are hard to find at a decent price!

What bits are you after? I still have a fair few bits and bobs left over from mine..

Just normal bits really, a decent set of steelies would be good and i can't really justify spending out for a new set as it'd only be a temp thing as the wheels on it now barely made it through MOT! bumpers etc etc.

You need rear seats?

Starting to look a lot better now it's had a few good cleans and coats of gunk!

Bit of an update..

Finally got some new wheels thanks to Liam

Spaced the rears out 9mm and also sorted out the RR I had going on.

Just need to stop wasting money and get all body imperfections sorted and get some bigger wheels as I can't even get in my driveaway at the moment without hitting the floor badly
