2.8 from a mk3 vr, only done 100k though . Using the standard VR cable change box, 02A isnt it? gonna run the hydraulic clutch setup etc but keeping 4 stud rather than going 5 stud wide track so i dont have to lose my wheels. Already got the g60 brake conversion so ive still got 280mm discs on my 4 stud. Gonna be done by next weekend for sure unless i run into any little problems, doing a light bit of bay smoothing and that as well

| got a fair bit done today, got everything removed apart from the wiring and the dash etc. Most things are going to be painted or at least cleaned before the go back in unless i get carried away and want it done quickly. The engine currently has some polished and blue details its a different colour blue but im going to keep it for a little while i think so i have more time to put the engine in. Has some trouble getting the subframe out the bolt has siezed into the sleeve The dent you have to make to fit the vr6 balancer pulley in obviously done before paint so it wont be noticed. My g60 brakes before getting cleaned up and painted(orange of course) Ordered the discs and pads and already got some TDi hubs that i can bolt them onto as the 8v hubs are all cast into 1 piece. | |

| after spending all bloody morning ringing round and asking... NOBODY had vr6 exhaust gaskets and upper inlet gasket so i finally bit the bullet and rang VW in peterborough not too bad price £30 for all 3 gaskets and there gonna be in saturday morning for me didnt know it would be so hard to get some bloody gaskets. If it was an 8v it would cost about 4p and be here in an hour lol | |

| looks cool man, but i think it would look a lot neater if you had thrown a bit of filler or high build primer on the nics and scratches around the towers, would have just been a bit neater in my eyes looks prime though man. nice contrast | |

looks prime though man. nice contrast But then it would have taken me a month to put a VR in rather than a week . This is all being done for quickness mate as i want the VR in. If i decide to full on showcar it over the winter it will be coming back out and all tidied up.
