| Hmm very tempting this is something I've been wanting to do over last few years, especially if girls react that way over an R32 lol. | |

| A couple of others things you may want to look into are your insurance and if your covered! Break down cover and maybe travel insurance... | |

| if you haven't booked ferries yet guys, i would look at NorfolkLine from Dover to Dunkirk. It worked out cheaper when i booked it last year than going Dover to Calais....and doesn't make much difference to your journey as Dunkirk is only about 30 miles up the road from Calais. | |

| Spot on Mike, That's what I booked last year too.
At the moment I am trying to find the Public open days for the Nurburgring to determine if we have to go there before or after Worthersee.
MAY 2011 14.05.2011 VLN long-range championship Nürburgring – course 3 20th – 22.05.2011 IDM 28.05.2011 VLN long-range championship Nürburgring – course 4 JUNES 2011 03.-05.06.2011 skirt at the ring 11.06.2011 VLN long-range championship Nürburgring – course 5 23.-26.06.2011 ADACS Zurich 24h-Rennen
Is there anywhere else people can recommend that's worth seeing on the way to/back from Austria that we could spend a day or two to break up the travel? Last year I planned a night in Frankfurt and a couple of other places but if anyone knows somewhere that we MUST NOT miss please let us know...

| Noob on here but I'd be up for it, can you send hotel details you've booked - will be another mk1 to add to the group?
I went for 36 hours last year (weekend off work) and it was immense. I tried to do the ring on the way back but it was the ring 24 hour race so was shut (but already thinking of taking that in during 2011). Theres always the Porsche or BMW museum in Stuttgart or Mercedes museum in Munich?

| Burnie, you have PM! Sounds good, another MK1 to add to the list is always going to get a from most of us... What motor do you have in yours, 20vt? MMMmmm Porsche Museum sounds good to me, shame Wolfsburg is a trek otherwise I could sort us VIP's through my brother who works for VW but I'll see if he can swing anything @ Porsche... | |

| Bernie, Nice!!! Yes 20vt going into my other MK1 but will be in my white 16v on trip... Lee, Yes mate! Awesome road trip or what? Do you think we should be marking Petrol stations every 50miles or so Phil, Just give your company a call mate, most will have you covered and if not I think you could just pay a little extra. Are you not part of the AA already? as mine was £78 and travel insurance was £15 i think... I'll have a read and see if its done by the person or the car like in UK then we only need 1 to have it. | |

| the ring is open for 2 hours most nights of the week, from 5-7 iirc when we went gets busy but not as busy as weekends, You could always go to the museum at the ring if your looking for something to do while there. Phil:- i paid about £30 for breakdown cover with the rac and insurance wasn't anymore just had to let them know when i was going.
I wish i was coming along but can't afford it!
