So ive finally bought another Volkswagen, i pick it up end of next week Smile

only have one crappy picture at the moment ill get more next weekend

My Mk3 More Door Whore, few bits done... Mk3moredoorwhore

its a 1993 2.0, drives amazing runs super good, needs a few things doing to pass the safety test (canadian m.o.t), needs a few patches of welding on the floor pan and a front wheel bearing so not alot at all. the body is pretty tatty but i start my body work apprenticeship in few weeks so this will be my practice car.

plans:

stupidly bearly driveable slammed

some wide 16s, which i already have.

vento front

clean the body up

and scrape around for a while Smile

first thing i done Razz

and the list of plans so far:

sort the welding

replace wheel bearing

by a splitter

raise engine

get it sat on my wheels nicely

smooth the front reflectors and indicators

respray rear bumper

all red rears

vento front

tidy up the body

then save for some splits

and possibly a respray

the passenger side if the car is fine, but still alot more welding than i thought which is a shitter.

In all respect, she looks like a sh1tter tbh but, i like build threads that start like this as its soo good seeing something transform into something uber nice.

tbh, it looks a lot worse than it is, the sills are still solid and theres still plenty of metal to weld too so it should be ok, it wont be pretty to look at though, if worst comes to teh worst ill just have to find a decent shell.

yea we did, we knew it had a few holes and needed welding but it wasnt till today i poked them... haha its saveable just more work than i thought, when its done god will forgive me for killing a golf because i would have saved another

so ive had a set of wheels for few months now they are 16x8.5s
