Martin,

I am hoping that you could clear something up for me.

My van is insured with you and i am looking at fitting alloys. How does the insurance work with load rated tyres?

My van is the T30 so Gross weight of 3000kgs fully loaded. (not that it ever runs fully loaded) So in theory for me to get tyres i take 3000 divide by 4 which gives me 750kg.
So in theory i can fit 98 load rated tyres and they will be fine on the van.

Do you have any guidance on this?

Cheers
Mike

hey mate,

never really been asked this before - checked with a guy who knows a lot more about "commercial" / van insurance and got a very long complicated answer but basically as long as the tyres fitted are within manufacturers specs and would pass an MOT then its all good.
