Mk2 Springs/ shocks Empty
PostSubject: Mk2 Springs/ shocks   Mk2 Springs/ shocks EmptyFri Aug 27 2010, 13:05

I'm finally getting round to putting some new springs/ shocks on my 8v GTi.
Does anyone know if the budget kits on ebay (£150ish) are a waste of money?

Any thoughts/ suggestions on what works and what doesnt?
Dont want any arch rubbing so thinking a 40mm drop should be about right?

Cheers

HI Steve

i got mine for my MK2 (the red 1.3 you saw at the MK2 owners club meet at billing) from euro performance.co.uk i got the GMAX spring and shock set, these were a 40mm drop, and i dont get any arch rubbing with 14 inch wheels, does scrape the bottom of the mudflaps on hard cornering.

all in all these are not a bad kit, quite a hard ride, as they are all gas shocks, but i would recomend them Mk2 Springs/ shocks 51732

Andy
