I was pleased with the GTI until I managed to break the exhaust on a slightly raised bit of road. I decided to swap wheels with Dan for the hell of it while mending the exhaust. 13" steels and hubcaps were a bargainous good swap for RSs!
On Saturday I changed the oil pump and it has solved the flickering oil light that came on when the car was at idle when it was warm. I wanted to sort it before the drive to Telford and it did the trick!
I put my NSU RO80 Fuchs on the golf because it seems impossible to fit them on my NSU. They are too big for it in place of the standard 12"s.
Cheers for the lend of Porsche adaptors Dan and thanks to Markb for the rolling shots on the way to UDs. Hanging the camera out the window on the end of a tripod looked fairly dodgy!
With Dave's 16v
With my dad's new sprintstars. I think they look like a cross between sprints and normal Fuchs.
My GTI is up for sale when I get round to it because I have just put a deposit on a new car this afternoon! Lots of MPGs

Money his way too
No I let him borrow them. They're not going back on the mk2 so may aswell be used before I take the tyres off to split them.
Im going to swap a couple of the metal patterned centre cap bits for 2 off my RSs because a couple of mine are a bit bent and these are the same size. They have a different lock on them to RSs. They are plastic twist on things off the one-piece 14s that we had on the old Jetta.
