Hi chaps, here's my latest E30.

For those who might not know. Back in the late 80's Italian and Portugese tax constraints meant that anyone with a car with over a two litre engine got royally raped.

So BMW got hold of a normal E30 shell and bunged in a E30 M3 S14 engine, reducing the capacity to just under two litres. Hence the 320is.

I searched for months looking at standard minty examples then I found a car in Edinburgh and I just had to have it. Even though I felt a bit awkward buying someone else finished project, I'm glad I don't have to contend with rust for a while.

And for some pics..........

When I bought it

The temporary Mini AC Schnitzer wheels, they're long gone.

And lastly some pics of my two previous E30's, definate lessons learnt from those on 'what not to do'.

At the moment, fix a few niggles and try to get rid of the swirl marks and hologramming in the paint.

And get to some meets/shows.

Will do, thanks for the offer. The only concern I have is burning the paint or inducing more swirls.

What product is best to remove all the wax on the car before I get cracking with the DA? Snowfoam???
