| hi guys thought it was about time i started a little build thread of some kind! i brought the car early last month, she was in a very sorry state! arches and interior trim missing and broken, rust, and general scruffyness! engine wise the car is sound! GTI Engineering RE2000: GTI Engineering cams port polished head 3staged angled valve guides bigger valves forged pistons 11.0:1 compression ratio 82.00mm bore and 94.00mm stroke lead idium big end bearings reworked injection system Cable shift box Singlemass flywheel. just in need of a good clean engine wise arches had beeen rattled canned a shade of blue that didnt match the car?? so off with them! on with the crackle black textured g60 arches along with sillls, rub strips and spoiler to match. bumpers had been sprayed blue aswell so let the crackling comence amber indicator lenses grille had no badge and most of the clips were broke, aquired another grille this time with badges engine and bay not looking to nice first up was the rad cowling and random brackets i could remove easily After Then was the intake manifold , throttle body and rocker cover after shot blasting and some vapourising intake manifold was then heat proof laqured and throttle body intake flange polished rocker cover was textured black aswell but been impacient and in such a hurry to get the car back together for the feb meet on friday i forgot to get some pics! you can just about see it if you look hard! engine all back together now starting to look a little better. moved the plug leads behind the intake manifold. this is how the car stands at the moment not great but alot better than it was next on my hit list is getting my wheels completely polished and rear n/s quater sprayed! what you guys think so far then?

| Bit of an update. the car has developed a mind of its own when going around corners!! one minute its fine the next it decides its wants to turn more with out the steering wheel moving . its trying to kill me. picked up a new steering rack today curtosy of MarkGTX blasted the rack then painted, looking like new now just ordered: 2 tie rods 2 track rod ends random nuts and bolts just got to wait for the parts to arrive then build the rack then fit to my suicidal car
