I had thought of more camber as the car wont do many miles throughout the year, think im going look into it then. Altbough original steels and chromed hubcaps are going back on for the mot.

| Have a look at what other tyre sizes you can play with too, I'm sure there's more stretch available on them... | |

| Yep, I can go the post office and get tax tomorrow for start of april due to the bank holiday weekend.
The carb needs a little adjustment as the revs kept dropping and stalling at junctions. Gonna give it a go myself even though im scared as carbs can be a pain to get right

| Yea that had crossed my mind what would happen as the tax or mid database would show up as untaxed/sorn as it wont technically be taxed until the 1st. Im gonna risk it and keep local in the countryside and not go near towns as it does need a little drive to get engine warm to tinker with the carb. Just plead the innocent young lad if I pulled for it I guess. | |

| Yea it is connected as I rejoined it the other day getting car assembled for mot. Havent had much chance to look at anything else today, am currently looking at exploded diagrams and info on my weber carb to make sure all vacuums are good and going to adjust the idle mixture slightly as its very lumpy and keeps stalling on tickover. Also goibg to checj the inlet gauze filter to make sure its not blocked etc. | |

| As some of you may already know, I scooped the runner up trophy today at the local classic and custom car show. Which I am very happy with and the winner very much deserved the trophy and I didnt stand a chance in beating that. (An american car of some sort called a monte carlo with bouncing hydraulics which reminds me of the snoop dogg video's and was super clean without a chip inside the wheel arches and driven from kings lynn and not trailered. Here is a few pics from Today of my mk1 starting with the runner prize against the car. | |

| Not alot has been happening apart from using and enjoying the car. Just got these back from refurb, its aerocoat's super advanced chrome powdercoat and looks awesome. Not sure when they are going to go on the golf yet though. And thanks to aerocoat for such a great job. | |
