| i was about to have the arb's and coillies fitted when some low life decided that i didn't need a stereo any more. they smashed the small window on the offside drivers door which wasn't too bad but they also mullered the drivers door lock/handle and dented the surrounding area! replacement glass £40 new door handle with delock £77 bodyshop repair £300 this has messed up my modding plans but since then i have managed to get the arb's fitted for a favour and last week the coillies went on too. i just need some decent weather to get the car clean and take some pictures, the car now handles really well but i'm thinking about upper/lower front strut braces and a rear strutbrace too. the wheels will soon be refurbed by the wheel genie over in huntingdon and i'm thinking about getting a filter/heatshield from jabbasport to make the most of the V6 noise. i'll have to get a custom stainless exhaust made as nobody makes one anymore for the Bora 4motion so MIJ in walsall have quoted £325 for a cat back system. oh, i also need a new stereo at some point too! | |

| i've always had the opinion that tinted windows are for ugly people! it came from the factory with the blue/green tint to the glass. | |

| i noticed recently that the paint on the oettinger rear spoiler has gone a bit manky with old age and needs repainting. a local bodyshop want £150 to do it but i was thinking about taking it off instead. apart from the two allen type bolts clamping it down on either side of the bootlid there seems to be a load of sikaflex or other bonding stuff holding it on. how difficult is it to remove and would it have damaged the paint underneath? | |

What sort of condition were your wheels in the first place? Kerbed? Bent? It'd be good to know what £260 covers. | |

| all four were kerbed around the outside of the rim and scratched on the spokes. one of them had a deep gouge on a spoke so needed to be welded before being smoothed down again. the paint was rough as arseholes too but i got them for a bargain price and i always intended to get them refurbed anyway. | |
