New caddy updated

As some may know sold my A4 in a record 9 hours so needed a vehicle fast so I spoke to a guy called steve and he hooked me up with a caddy Sunday night.
When collected it was standard and a bit battered but very very rust free which is great. I am hoping to have some mods done in the next few days including wheels, suspension, interior and a bit of panel beating. Will update pics asap.

I certinley did get it of him. Amazing how many people we knew the same really.

Well it has full MOT now wooooooooooooo and i will try and get some pics of progress so far up this evening

and for some reason photobucket keeps crashing on me at the moment but have changed suspension, wheels and front end all very band wagon like but if it aint broke dont fix it. By the next meet I will have the interior changed and hopefully a bit of filler work but not got long so we shall see.

Finally new passenger wing going on tonight

Well tonight stripped down passenger wing and the inner wing is solid no holes and just a small amount of surface rust so wirebrushed all down and undersealed the whole lot then fitted a new wing and seam sealled every were.

Next going to start filling the rear to get rid of the large dents and then attack the roof.

I like it but it doesnt seem to sit right as has a massive arch gap still or am i just being anal

1" blocks on the back and front down to match that would look spot on, just the right amount of arch gap.

Well had a small change of plan going to run 15's as the 13's as cool as they are dont fill the arches correctly. I need to get some tyres tueday but will be all good will update as soon as done.

Also now fitted some different mirrors and got the paint sorted for respray.

No mate not at the moment just changing will put these on the mk1

Not updated for ages so I thought I would.. As most have seen now has black roof different wheels and smoked crosshairs and a dodgy bonnet. Has a td engine now just trying to get a 5spd linkage then be back on the road. Hopefully have some more bits in the next week or so and then time for some paint and wood.

I will add pics soon but apparently it is in pvw to mo which is good as was parked infront of fd banner so more advertising.

Also got a private plate that I have had since I was 18 that I am going to xfer onto it as will fit well.

Well I am a lazy barsteward so since the caddy had the engine fitted then tiz did his thing and i blew the clutch (well i thought i had) head gasket and water pump I have left it sat and not touched it so today I thought I would get on with it.

Got to the truck and she started first turn of the key which was good. I opened the bonnet and thought what a mess so I took the box out only to discover that the clutch is brand new so must be riding on the thrust bearing or the imput shaft is worn will investigate further at the weekend.

Whilst the box is out I degreased and cleaned it ready for a fresh coat of paint then cleaned all the bay down ready for paint and started to hide or at least tidy up the wiring so soon the bay will be all tidy and look totally different.

I will update with pics when I remember to take some. Rest of the truck is having a makeover to so fingers crossed if I dont loose intrest again it will be looking pretty.
