Daily scuffer mk4

Yesterday I somehow ended up buying a not very tidy high mileage 1.6 mk4. It was about 3 hours from seeing it for sale to having it on the drive. I had been looking for a mk1 but nevermind.
The spec is: rubbish wheels, a lairy exhaust and a dented sill
It was cheap and I paid in both pounds and euros
Im going to wash it today and see what I have bought then post some pics.

Im getting some standard steels for it this evening so no more monster truck wheels. I bought it on a whim really because Im fed up of the caddy and driving Bex about since her Jetta broke. Caddy is up for sale soon

The exhaust does need to go I know. Im not going to change it yet because Im not keeping the car long. Unless someone has got a standard backbox going cheap that is.

The steels only came with 3 extra luxury VIP hubcaps. I might take them off because it looks odd with one missing. It should go faster then due to all that weight saving.

i think i have 3 of those hubcaps, alomost new if you want them for a very small fee? having a clear out so dont want much for them

Likely they are 15s. 14s seem too small really for a fat mk4! I thought mk4 steels were all 15s until I got these.

Todd Ive some standard touran alloys (pcd 112) if you fancy swapping them for the 18"s it came with

I need 5x100 wheels but cheers anyway. Ive decided the wheels I had will look alright once it is lowered and it will be soon. Im going to paint them up

I sold the 18s last Saturday because I was getting some new steels and decided I would sell the caddy on Sunday at the volksworld show. When I got up that Sunday morning I found this:

So no selling the caddy for me and the money I got for the 18s went straight on a new windscreen The brick was still on the bonnet!
I think it's a sign the caddy doesn't want to go!
I got my new beetle/bora 16s and have painted them silver so they look like the old steelies on mk2s and 1s before big plastic hubcaps.

I like them and I've ordered some JOM coils for it so they should be here any day.
