East anglia mega meet??

i think a large field area like at a village hall or sumfin would be better than thetford forest. I havnt been there for years but from what i remember the carparks are all crap and not 1 big enough open space.

Been to some half decent meets at Highlodge. Carparks are ok but there are a few speed bumps

Any news on the location of the meet? I've sorted out the charity side of things 'help for heros' just need a location and a date now! Also my mate owns a burger/hog roast trailer chain and talked him into attending to supply us the grub if the meets in a rural location!!

if he comes along can you ask him to bring a few bins? nothing like those Styrofoam chip trays to ruin the look of a place

Lee what about the playing field at the back of the abbey homes in doddington?

it's got masses of room to park/show your car and has a pavillion for toilets and electrics.

the season will be finished so no team will need the ground but you could corner off the main pitch anyway because there is enough room.

doddington isnt central to anglia

Just a thought guys, but how about asking Snetterton Circuit? All hard standing, eating facilities and just down the road from Thetford.

Mention them about money to charity? they might say yes?

I have a couple of contacts who work there

Have a word with the people you know who work there and mention the charity side of things! I can't see them turning us down? Let me know.

thats not a bad idea lee. a race circuit seems like a fitting place to have a show/meet

Sorry, still havn't heard anything back yet, will go up and see them asap

But the 23rd would be good at snetterton, as the gti championship and VAG trophy is racing that weekend, but we would have to pay their gate fee.

Sorry, my mistake i was looking at the wrong venue!!!

Right, been and seen my contact down at Snetterton, and they arn't interested in entertaining us at all They really arn't interested in car clubs, so I'm afraid the answer is a big fat NO!! Sorry peeps.......
