non starting 6n

Just sorted out a 6n for the misses it passed the mot on saturday got it taxed it today had one spin round the block, now the thing wont start!!
changed the starter same thing Nothing!!!!
i dont seem to have any power going to the starter from the ignition switch.
i did run a wire direct to starter from the battery and bingo it fired up so it either the switch or a broken wire
do VW ignition switches wear out ?

mine done the exact same thing on my rocco.

now i have a push button start!

i was thinking of going down that route if i cant suss it out
i do have a spare doorbell button.....

i made my own that was really easy and uses a £5 red button from my local autofactors

its running again !!
got a start button on it. me mate had one lying about in his garage
