The guys at Tinklers are absolute legends!....really helpful, nothings too much trouble, its really nice getting that real personal touch you do from a small family run business. There no way i'd be getting a look in, let alone any cool photo's of the build if a big company was doing it.

| Fingers crossed it will be in today Yesterday the engine had all new gaskets and water pump. The head was given a quick clean up and the timing chain was replaced. Small issue with a couple of the cam bearing cap studs being worn and snapping...but new ones will be here this morning and it will be all go again List today... fit remaining bearing caps Renew head gasket and put head on block Fit cam belt Reattach gearbox to block Put engine in car Simples | |

Being done on a budget tom replace catch can with coke can or something then haha, ive run most of my cars with oasis bottles or something as a catch can haha, good indicator of how good your engine is doing as well. I hate oil breathers going into the inlet with a passion just look what a mess they make of your inlet, lowers the octane of your fuel, causes build up in the head etc. Bloody things.

| Yeah i know all that bud, i'll be running a catch tank on my golf . With this cabby, it'll use my airbox as its already modded to work on the drivers side chassis leg. James will have his spare original airbox to swap back when he's got more funds for a nice catch tank. I used some wire wool in the breather so only fumes entered the box aswell , i used some net to stop it being sucked up under induction. | |
