| Pretty simple m8, did it on my cabby to a switch on the dash cuz was too lazy to run wires up though the steerin column. but all i did was earth from battery to horn. take power feed from somewhere (you choose) to the switch then from switch to horn. simples | |

| or you can find the fault! is it a single horn? i presume so. check your fuse box, the top right hand relay socket should have a "L" shaped metal pin in it. check that it's in place first | |

no, you've got it all wrong! charactor is usually something your car gets as you break the car while fixing THE original problem

no, you've got it all wrong! charactor is usually something your car gets as you break the car while fixing THE original problem really....???..... I thought they were features....lol. Yes, i have the L shape in the top right corner. it's the original horn so i'm guessing its single..??......i have just brought a new one tho, electric klaxon one so im gonna swap it before i mess with wiring. i'll try Matty's idea but might take the wiring to the steering wheel

| after a new horn is fitted put a multi meter across the two wires in the horn push button, if they are ok it is probably the connection between the steering wheel and the column | |

| yeah, i took the steering wheel off and clean it up and bent it a bit more to make sure it was making contact. I ran a temp wire from the horn to the contact on the back of the steering wheel and think i've shorted the wiring out.......oops! | |

| right, i have got a horn push button to put in the dash. Before i wire it up i need some advice, i'm going to take a feed from the ciggie lighter so it's constant 12V+, run it to the switch, then from the switch to the horn. My question is do i fit the inline fuse between the horn and the switch or between the ciggie feed and the switch...?!?!?!?. I'll be using a 15amp fuse | |

| the ciggie lighter should be fused already, surley you won't need to fuse it at all!
but the ciggie lighter is more then 15amp i think!

| i'm sure it's fuse number 3 which is rated at 15amps (ciggie lighter/radio/clock/interior light)....i realised it's already fused but like to be over cautious......lol.......i might put the inline fuse between the switch and horn then | |

| but if it's already fused, it ain't worth the hastle!
if i blows, and it's likely to (cos it's running so much) it will be a but of a fucker to change it.

| Got my horn back!!!............i found some spare permanant live spades on the back of the fusebox, fitted an inline 15amp fuse between the spade and the push button i've fitted into the dash, ran the negative straight to the battery and sorted !! time to book an MOT !! | |
