Any1 know how to fit new roof gutter trims? taken my drivers 1 off to replace it, and got a pretty straight replacement and dont wanne f**k it up

tried that and it gets it over the lip big doesnt connect the clips

Test with an old trim first if you have 1 still matt. Otherwise, mark on the new trim roughly where the plastic clips are then maybe mallet down. Use a peice of wood to the same width so you dont mark the trim.

Maybe mask up areas where you might slip and catch the bodywork. Either way, just take your time and not get too eager to get it done. Last thing you wanna do is to fook up the new paint

yeah i tried with the old 1 which i bent to f**k in frustation marking where the clips are is a good idea though m8, and ive already masked it up although its not new paint there still dont wanna mess it up though.

This turned up this morning and couldnt resist putting it up even though ive not finished painting yet lol



And today was gonna lay the underfelt for the carpet but i couldnt find my spray glue so thatll have to wait, but i did replace the passenger door seals, got the fog light working and had a good look round it to see what it may need for MOT.
It looks like it just needs a pass side handbrake cable and a steering rack boot which ill prob get away with.

Couldnt resist trying an RS on the front as i havnt done until now, and im pretty happy with it

Got half of the underlay put in untill i ran out of spray glue



Then moved ontop swapping to the rallye front.

Yess, cant wait to see this all done now Matty. Rallye front is sooo sweet.

Not a problem helping with it its looking good dude. dont forget your reversing bulb, ill pop up when i have the golf and you get your bumpers back

I want your bungalow.

Yeah there is big chunks we can take out of it thats just pointless. Dont bolt one of the fogs in cos ill just use that as a tester to save fitting the bumper on and off. But yeah you want the blue inline connectors. If you want it really tidy get some heatshrink tubing too.

i agree, matty hasnt got a clue when it comes to making a nice car.

I like it, got abit of fiddling to do to make it fit as good as possible cuz its not really a direct replacement. im gonna make everyhting easily removable so i can swap and change between the 2 front when i feel like it

Looks cool m8 cant knock the rallye grill both styles are cool though
