| well as many no i sold my mk1 caddy to get a caddy van to gain money back to put into my project mk1 caddy. i can see already im not going to save much money in the short run (mainly as i decided to keep my shiney wheels) but will in the long term as insurance is around £400 cheaper per year! anyways found this tdi 53 plate local and got it home and started stripping it out and geting it clean and ready for a good slam! was hoping the coilies would be here by now so hoping for them to arrive early this week coming. rear axle is off and up at mv's awaiting to be flipped along with new rear wheel bearings and beetle shocks. not overly much exitement as yet but this is what i got done today good wash of to get rid of all the bird poop and dirt managed to polish one side and get the trim nice and black again, paint come up pretty good but forgot to get some pics. took all the front lights out and cleaned behind the grille section, swapped the standard indicators for some clear ones, took the tdi badge off and painted the vw badge black. and got my paper work to have my personalised plates on too. mid way front at some point has had a slight shunt and broke the pass side light so the old owner stuck it all togther with some glue mastic stuff! standard on the right and bodge on the left! and all put back together and polished the old owner was breaking an older audi a3 and put some better seats in but a poopy steering wheel which is coming straight out when i can afford it! cool seats got all the interior cleaned out as it was filthy! propper builders mess everywhere! will get puics tomo once sorted out also. is something missing?! lol also started ont he rear doors, debadging taking off the poo stickers and cleaning and swapping plates over, painting the vw badge once again black to match the front, more pics to follow tomo and mid week. should have some good amount of shiney wheel porn tomo too! | |

yeh u no! more pics from last couple days, more cleaning and boring pics aswel. coilies should be here mid week and getting the axle back tomo, got the new shorter rear shocks on already to be put back together. done little detaily bits on my dust caps for the oz turbos. also going to sort the centre caps out and put a logo on those also but still havent got around to taking them off the mk1 and giving them a good wash! enjoy the pics painted the rusty rear drums as will be able to see the rust through the wheels and would look pretty shocking so ground them back rust treaded then painted all back up black rear doors tdi and caddy badge taken off and the vw one painted black to match the front, also removed a couple of random stickers and gave it all a good polish then put my number plate on. thinking about getting some tinting film for the rear lights to darken it down a bit too. and the interior with my floor mats for the time being out of my mk1 just to tidy it up a bit, will get different ones once i find some good ones. nice and clean now too! thanks for looooking more updates with big lows this week!............. | |

| cheers for all the comments home dogs well here more pics from the week, was working late most of the days so idnt get any pics up im afraid but here is some from along the way. have none all on the floor as my sump took a bash last night and has a hole in so back off the road already! only last a few hours! should be back ready on the road tomo, will update later if anyone got an pics from the fendubbers meet. cheers.... new bits n bobs going on with the flipped axle, same new bits each side but only have pics of one side. magic box of lows to help the front end out to many lows ended my night bad, and ended up with this so back up on the wood to have a good look and sort out, only a small crack so will hopefuly be fixed tomo, on the look for a tdi sump then going to take it to work and get the bad boy welded up with bit metla strips to take the force better. couldnt resist it, still more to come but its a start. think black is going to be the second colour and some writing underneath i think wheel porn....defo need some clear side repeaters! and now how the back is with the cage/bulkhead out still needs a good sweep and hoover in there from where all theparts where thrown in. cheers for looking | |
