| right i finally pulled my finger out and got things done today. got a hand from kit ("Lupton_20vt") and got everything sprayed. i put my car in the garage yesterday after work and a good clean. towel dried it and spent most of that night masking off the windows, mirrors etc. ok heres how it sat after the first coat of primer went on. over all i used 5x500ml of primer. yes real mature kit XD next came a whipe down and the first coat of black 9 and a half cans of black later heres the finished peice well chuffed about how it came out . next job is to paint the wheels and roof a bright colour (either green or red). but before i can do that i need to find some one with a sand blaster that can fit a wheel in. any ideas anyone ? | |

also what are you doing about the splitter? going vr6? lol yeah thats just a big dent, i want to get a subtle bonnet bra to cover it. i think il just spray the splitter i got on it at the mo to be honest, dont want to put much more money into it because i got more stuff coming up like the starter motor is on the way out, buying a gearbox, sorting the wheels out. maybe when everything else is done | |

| right i need some help lads (il also copy and paste this into the help section to).
i spent all of sunday swapping my 4 speed box for a 5 speed. changed the oil made sure everything done up ect.
but theres a high pitch whine in 5th when the engines under strain (if i take my foot off the throttle or put the clutch down it goes away). this noise also gets progressively higher in the pitch of it the more revs are going through the gear.
i used the same linkage as the four speed but moved where it sat on the imput shaft bit on the gear box to allow for the necessary movement to get it into fifth. ow and the box has been sat unused for about a year.
any ideas? | |
