hello peeps what are your thoughts on this.....

i have put my car in for an emission test and is running at 6 per cent co2 when its ticking over. at the moment its drinking loads of petrol.

when revving it up the percent goes higher (...which is meant to go lower?) we have tried to tweek the emissions to 1 per cent and so when revved up to 2000 rpm the emissions are at 2 per cent....

i dont really understand. does anyone happen to know what their car runs at, ticking over or revved up? or indeed any experience in such problems....we have just replaced the fuel and air filters, thermostat, plugs and leads and the water housing
