my mates golf tdi mk5 has a really bad engine 'jerk' when u floor the throttle thru the gears. feels like misfire, but pretty sure it isn't tho. maybe lack of fuel to engine. its really hard to explain to be honest. remember seeing a couple of guys on here from vindis, if they know any common faults??

the engine light isn't on either and no codes found on scanner.

not sure tiz. really doesn't feel like air flow meter problem. could be tho. a couple of people have told me that they're common for the pump in tank to play up?
i'll get it back on the scanner tonite and check the maf sensor readings.

Is it the twin or single cam diesel? If you get an engine code i will have a look in work and see if anything relating to the discription you gave comes up but it will only be if people with Skoda's have noticed this fault.

scanned it again today as its getting worse. engine light isn't on and no faults at all found. i'm pretty sure its a fuel problem, as it seems to be spluttering real bad. the pump in tank isn't cheap tho so don't really wanna renew it if it doesn't cure it. help!

had a look at all the boost pipes today. no splits or leaks found. intercooler looks ok too. it does seem like a fueling problem, but really can't tell for sure and its getting worse

had yet another look at this nightmare of a car today. its gettin so bad now you can hardly drive it. thought i'd go back to basics and renew the fuel filter. couldn't beleive what i saw when i opened it up. the filter is black, and i mean really dirty. all the fuel inside the canister is black too, like ink. what the hell can cause this?? anyone?? its been serviced regually.
