| Don't know if this is any use, there is a campsite at Hougton Mill (between St Ives and Huntingdon), toilet block, laundry facilities, fishing, loads of footpaths etc. Nice village. Unsure about barbecues though. | |

| Had some spare time today so stopped in at Houghton on the way past and see on the campsite notice no fires (which may or may not include barbecues), it's owned by the NT and run by the Caravan Club. There are a couple of good pubs, one just down the road in the centre of the village. At least it has toilets. No doubt the risk of fire is the reason why. I have a couple of fields that way but the grass is probably waist high by now and the road not particularly good. | |

| Hi All, I have done some research into camping at Houghton, and it looks like you have to join the caravan club to be able to book a pitch there - the cost to join is £37! so i guess this is a no go - i will investigate further but if anyone has any suggestions of other venues please let me know | |
