You'll need a new clutch about a week after havin the 130 to 185 remap as my mate gary found out but now hes got the clutch and the remap done its massively fast and so torquey and thats in a golf would be amazing in the fabia but i remember me and lee chatting with some vrs owners at santapod once and they said you definately need the clutch and the brakes are sh1te once you have 185bhp too.

1 reason why the ibiza has'nt been done tbh Cry . Me and gem looked into it after our rolling road day at jabba.

Anything over 170 and your looking at a fried clutch so that'll need upgrading.

Brakes is easy and by far the cheapest to do
Simply bolt some audi TT brakes on giving you 312mm disc's up front rather than the stock 288mm

Edit, yeah me and tom spoke to fabia guys at the pod. They was going down as fast as VR's Very Happy

yeh the tt brakes up front are common, and still just fit in the original 16s, my friend has his done and it cant realy put the power onto the road, so i was thinking a skoda remap to 155 but not sure what the torque would be or how much, would i be right in thinking i would need a fast road clutch?ihavent really looked into it that deep tbh.

i always thought ours was plenty fast enough and torquey enough you just gotta learn how to drive tdi compared to a petrol to make the most of the torque curve. Any remap over standard is going to shorten turbo and engine life thing is if you get a remap you will shorten your clutch life a lot even with the 155 its still gonna be close to the limit i would have thought so any hard launches or spiritied driving might kill it and they clutches and fitting in them isnt cheap at all.

get it custom maped at jabba and tell them about the clutch situation and they will limit the torque to safe limits for the oem clutch, that is what my cozen did on his ibiza tdi 130...job done

Hi my seat alhambra has had a remap done by the TT shop in bedford. much better now when you learn to stop it wheel spining, she's now got 100,000 miles on and standard clutch with no problems but did snap a drive shaft not long after it was remapped
