| ever thought about tuning your 16v? or tuning an ABF and putting it on throttlebodies. Would make the mk2 much more balanced and still keep the fun "gtiness" about it and on a track and the real world would be quicker than a 1.8t anyway. | |

| Done a 20vt my self on my corrado and it is silly quick just ask some of the scooby boys that have tried their luck. http://www.qpeng.com/ Got a plug n play kit which comes with a maped MBE ecu to your engine code and the down pipe from these and they are very helpful. Done the whole conersion in three days. | |

| Yes 1.8t will go in on old mounts and old gearbox. but it is best to upgrade your gearbox to o2a cable shift from a corrado / mk3 golf as they are stronger. | |

| tiz, bit stuck between the two really. was thinking about 2.09a bottom end, gas flowed ported polished skimmed head, uprated cams, 4 branch, better induction and throttle bodies off 2.0l audi 80 (i think go straight on)????? then was thinking 1.8t chipped or something would give nice power as well. really stuck between the 2!!!!!! help!! | |

| i think it all depends what you want from the car mate.
Do you want it to be an awesome b road thrasher that you can throw into corners and rev and rev and have loads of fun with it.
Or do you want loads of power, big power avliable if you got the cash, higher servicing costs, easy cruising and bragging rights of having a 20v turbo in your golf.
Worth weighing up all the pros and cons mate. I wish i did before i put the VR in mine cause i would have still had it if i had put a 2.0 16v in on bodies. | |
