| DAMN! that beetle is fecking low. back to the subject, slightly lower profile tyres and it would be sittin slightly lower, maybe adding a bit of camber could get the back down a bit further. it needs that face down, ass up stance! | |

Arse down front uppa ftw woo yea. Since when have i been a saxo boy. Last time i checked my VR ran level Just get annoyed with all the ed38 bullshit that spread about. Always used to be about getting it low now all of a sudden because somebodies decided next years stance is all about the rake with plenty of tuck EVERYBODY then changes their opinion of what is cool

| ah right cool cool, nah wasnt saying it would look bad just sometimes wonder if people suggest it because they think it will look good or because they have been told it looks good. Ive done the whole run low to look cool, ass up face down stripper stance and you just cant drive the car properly might as well have a 1.0 in it lol. | |

| ok, so i think i have decided on what to do with the wheels for the golf. ive spoken to a mate of mine and he said he could machine me some adapters to fit the early beetle wide 5 stud pattern to my hubs, and he thinks he can makes some that wouldnt poke the wheels out so i can still tuck the wheels. i personally think it will look the bollocks. i photoshopped a picture real quick and badly but you get the idea, what do you think? | |

| looks cool m8, me n mark thought about trying to get some beetle wheels on his old rocco but never worked out how adaptors would work cuz the larger pcd wouldnt clear the front calipers. be interesting to find out how your mates gonna make the adaptor. | |

| yeah there must be a way round it, 1 being run something like 380mm front brakes, 2nd revert to drums on the front and 3rd you could throw an anchor out the back and run no brakes haha all full of awesomeness | |

| haha, how hard would it be to have drums on the front? is it possible?. i found this project, they have made adapters and are still running discs of the front? or though have done a serious amount of chopping but i dunno what they have done on the adapters? http://www.panscrapers.com/viewtopic.php?t=132 | |

| That golfs rude!
dunno wot drums would involve, probly quite alot.
maybe the best thing to do would be try find the slimmest calipers you can so the adaptor plate can sit on the hub without hittin the caliper, or get heavy with the grinder and maybe have a spacer built into the adaptor plate so it steps it out clear of the caliper, poke shouldnt really be a problem with the skinny beetle steels like it was with the fat wheels sparrow had.

| yea the beetle steels are 4 inches wide so there might be enough clearance, the back aint a problem because i have drums. My mate will solve the promblem i hope. Can only try i guess, i just thought it would be different, and plus i miss my beetle:( so i need something to do with a beetle:P | |

| if you find the rear too soft and hits the tyres etc, take out the helper spring as ive heard and noticed they are too hard on the rears of the ebay specials. which makes it mega bouncy as they are not compressing properly! looks phat | |
