| cool cos i kno for about 230 i can get a g max kit which is springs and dampers is it sometimes better buying second hand then cos i know that the springs need to set so to speak when you fit a new kit | |

| yeah they do need to settle...i think my newest set are about settled now after a couple of months... depends how much you gonna pay for a second hand set. coilovers can seize if there not looked after cuz they go rusty and the threads get knackered | |

| that aint bad may have to keep my eye out for some more cos them ones have ended,, so coil overs buy new if i can?? | |

| id say buy new. just so ya know they're not bent or anythin. plus if coilies arent looked after (not like mine of course ) they can sieze up so you cant adjust them. | |

there are loads of similar items cuz they put loads up at the sametime/evryday my mate ordered his on sunday night bout 10pm and they were at his door wednesday morning | |

| generally tougher springs on standard shocks will do the shocks in 6months ish your best to get a spring and shock kit or coilovers, obviously the more power your car has the better kit to get etc, im running on hottuning coilovers and have no problems at all and also ordered them tuesday night at around 11.30pm and had them 7.30am thursday morning!! also i am told that janspeed coilovers and other brands are all made in the same factory just branded differently? | |

| if your after cheap coilovers i use the ones from a guy on the polo forum called phil jackson had a set on my lupo and now mk2 golf really good for the money around the £200 mark worth a try see if he does a set for the mk4 ps be carefull you dont start getting problem with the anti roll bar they start hitting when you get lower on the mk4 | |

| if i get problems with the anti roll bar ill just get brave and take it off lol i've seen a set of hottuning ones on ebay for a decent price might just get them | |
