what do people think would you rather...

buy brand new off the snap on van or buy second hand off ebay?

theres a guy who has a snap on tool box its called an apprentice tool box it includes:

7 draw roll cab,
spanners,
air rachet,
sockets,
rachets,
plyers,
screw drivers,
hammer extensions etc etc

for £1200 including vat

or would any1 buy second hand off the bay.

obviously looking for "more for my money"

and its the first set of snap on tools i have i have tools but there all different makes of tool.

cheers

Offer to do a cash sale if you can afford to mate and push for a further discount.

I buy snap on tools myself, some off the rep and some off ebay(new and used).

Not all are lifetime guarantee'd though. Air tools only get a year and ratchets get repaired rather than replaced

I have been buying the stuff for years, I buy it new and used.

Lee is quite correct the air tools and electric items only have a limited warranty of 1 year., they are all repairable through the dealers and the snap on repair centre.

Ratchets are designed to be repaired rather than replaced, the hand tools are all covered by their unlimited lifetime warranty, this doesn't include abuse or misuse. What this means is you cant hammer the s**t out of a screwdriver and expect them to replace it..... err no thats abuse.

If the crome falls off or wears out they'll swap it, some socket are meant to be self sacrificing such as the black impact sockets, as you use them they are meant to become sloppy, when they spin on the nut then if you get on well with the dealer they will swap it out otherwise you maybe buying new ones.

They are worth every single penny you pay for them as the spanner fit correctly, doesn't slip off or break randomly, they're well balanced all this means is less skinned knuckles busted hands or rung off nuts.

In short buy as much as you can for as little as you can you'll not be disapointed.

halfrauds pro tools have the same lifetime guarantee and are a fraction of the price imo. ive never had a problem with them. snap on payin for the name NOT the warranty. you can get equivalent boxes of the bay for alot cheaper..
