Worthersee Tour 2011 8)

Well here we go, Lee took far more pics with Gem so they will add theirs soon.


The Brief;
We started by crossing from Dover to Dunkirk and then travlled onto the Nurburgring
. We then moved onto Worthersee. Coming back we stopped at Stuttgart for the Posche Museum and then onto Leuven in Belgium. Finally we crossed back from Dunkirk to Dover and finished the trip by attending Stonor Park...

Looks like it was a brilliant trip! Also how well look after their roads are!

No lap times unfortunatley as we didn't get a 'flying' lap in due to the amount of traffic, our CRAP tyres and our lack of experience. R888 needed for next time....

You coming next year Mike??? We may be going back to the Ring in a couple of months too....

Think the mk1's did the ring in around 11 mins and the mk4 approx 12

As Si says, there's quite a lot of powerful metal going round so its hard to keep to the race line and carry more speed. Still quite an experiance and now looking at arranging to go out there again.

Back to work for me tomorrow I wander if I can call it work sifting through our pics for 8hrs

Some really good pics there and im so jealous really want to do this next year now. Hopefully i might have a decent mk1 to do the trip in aswel by then.

A load of us went to Worthersee from Dub Gen, we had to take the Skoda Felicia estate due to the mk2 not being finished in time, on the way to Wolfsberg our headgasket went at Hannover! Had to scrap the car and get a hire car (New Scirroco) .

2.0 Tdi bluemotion - 230kmph, was quite suprised. Good car.

Spoke to Elliott - PVW he told me he had seen you lot about. Love the pics.

We met Chewy with the grey caddy, him and his lady friend were on the same campsite as us, he is from Northampton. Ace chilled out fella

Cannot beleive you can stand on a forecourt smoking a cigar with a beer in your other hand! Brilliant!

We're going to start a thread soon for next years event as we defo going again. Maybe we could hook up and convoy together depending on what dub gen guys wanna do.

Sweet that Elliott spotted us about, cool that fendubbers is getting out there and being noticed. Stickers were worth it

I've met chewy and his missus before, just couldn't spot them anywhere even though at one time, he parked behind mine and Simons mk1's in Reifnitz lol. Pm'd him on caddy forum when I got back.
