| true story.
and the moral of the story is, dont f**k up your car trying to be different, because you will be stuck with piece of crap that no one wants. | |

| Personally I can't stand matte-effect finishes, apart form a very occasional exception. That said, I liked Chubbs', I could tell almost straight after he did it he kinda regretted it, but he persevered and regularly went over the car again and again to keep it looking fresh as possible I prefer gleaming cars, and if it happens to be original paint then even better. I hated the colour of my car when I bought it (LD6D PistazieGrun), but a wash, polish and wax at least once a week might just convince you. I now love the colour of my car, and I also get a buzz out of trying my best to keep the car looking as if it's just rolled out of the factory. 15-year old paint; As mentioned before, solid paint needs more lovin', but the results are worth it, IMO. | |

| totally agree with rob, i regret doing what i did to my mk2 big time, just looking at that first picture you can tell it was a real minter but i killed it and its one less mint small bumper mk2 on the road :( trust me, you might like the idea of being "different" but when your out of ideas and your bored of the car and want to sell it, it will be REAL hard to sell. Everyone wants to be different and everything has been done. but at the end of the day its your car do what you want. | |

| At the end of the day you'll do whatever you want as it's your car just be 100% sure you know what you want as it's all well and good respraying a car, but then changing your mind will make stuff a lot more difficult and you'll just lose your passion for it. | |
