| Done a few more hours today. Gem helped out and started the nearside chassis leg while i carried on with the offside She did pretty well in the little time she spent on it I finished off scraping the sealer off the offside ready for a wire wheel. Pretty tricky with me deciding to keep the drip tray | |

| I'am keeping the heater so the drip tray has to stay so fumes don't get in the cab. My first caddy was terrible for it and was partly why I sold it on. | |

| Little update Dash is out along with the heater matrix. pretty much the whole bay is ready for a wire wheel now. Removed the sealer around the offside front wing so i could take it off safely without distorting it. Then started doing the inner arch Same as the bay, i'll get the worst of the sealer off then go over it with a wire wheel. Then its welding time! | |

is it really safe using a tool box as an axle stand? yes, just not a re-usable one. | |

| Moved the caddy yesterday to a much better workshop It also happens to have a spray booth in it Hoping progress will speed up now until July when my wife is due to have our first child Workshops got a little office that might be handy as a nusery though | |

| Whoop whoop, progress alert Its a bit tight for space down the unit so rather than leave my caddy on axle stands, i knocked up a dolly which bolts on the front wishbone mounts I then removed the shocks, hubs, wishbones and steering rack Now i was going to keep the drip tray but i've changed my mind(as you do) so out with the cutter and tin snips First stage Then used my spot weld drill bit, pliers and screwdriver to do the tricky bits. I done pretty good as i only made 1 tiny hole Worst bit i need to sort is the clutch hole which i'd welded a repair plate over some years ago. Was also bad under the wiper motor support. Being deleted anyway so no big deal. Thats it for now I'll be prepping the holes ready for welding next | |
