Caddyrages truck, now smoothing bay

Sounds like it's running ok from what i can hear over a whistle that has now attracted half the villages dogs to my door!!!

When it gets hot mate, timing is about spot on

yep, filmed well late last night after i put the plugs back in and connected the battery

Level with red led on clocks.

Its not the temp switch on rad as i replaced it for a 2 stage set up rather than the 3 stage i had whilst running the kr.

is this the same as what used to happen when you first put your 1800 in?

yup

how did you solve it before or did it just go away? you using all different kjet stuff to what you had in before or you using the 1800 stuff you had in there before?

I did'nt look into solvin it as i knew i was swapping to the 9A. Yes usng the KR fueling gear.

yep along with the thermo sendor and temp sendor's on the side of the head.

Had a go in the truck earlier , yep definately more responsive lol.

Lost first gear after a short drive so i gotta redo the linkage again and pulling back up on my drive to check for any leaks, she stalled again.

Just a pic of how my engine bay looks now. After fitting the 9A, i decided to try and tidy it as much as i could. Hid a few wires and cleaned the mess that the 1.8 left behind.

No Leaks with this one as i replaced most of the gaskets when building it up so alls nice. Ok its far from Show/shine worthy but its more about function over form at the mo!



Also added a little 16v badge on the grill which came off a mk2 golf glovebox


Now considering on a change of wheels. Some 14in splits would be nice so i can widen them to suit and also run the truck lower.

If i dont swap, i'll probs run the banded G60's that are on the van and give the RM's a fresh coat of paint along with me machine polishing the lips.

Thanks mate, would'nt go as far as best by miles though, She needs a respray but all thats to come.

I do like those HTN's mate, have'nt got the spare cash to buy them hence i would swap if someone did.

I also planned to paint the splits white before choosing the cherry red

yea i think the red colour wise is better as it brakes up the whiteness hows the engine running now?

have u managed to get hold of a fuel pump yet? and they are some wicked pics of it as well! very nice and im not at all jealous! lol

Engines running sweet as mate. Goes very well . Little rubble coming from the bay which leads me to think the engine mount bush has clasped so i going to order a poly insert for that.
Need an custom exhaust asap as i using the original pea shooter back box at the mo. Should release some more ponies too!

Have'nt got a fuel pump mate but i bought the brand new accumilator off vw mike. Pump works obviously as you see me drive her there, just loses pressure when hot.

I'll have it on tommorrow and leave her ticking over to see what happens

lee, ive got a tig welder now so if you can get some stainless tube im sure we could make a nice zaust for her?

I've got a powerflow back box section that came from the cordoba i broke. Could maybe modify that to work mark.


Was planning on an exhaust done by powerflow or mvd so i get life time warranty though mate

Just swapped the accumilator for the new bosch jobbie. Idled the caddy til hot, fan cut in a couple of times without any probs of the engine trying to stall so i think all is well now

Will probs swap my rad back to the larger diesel item i used to run and the 3 stage fan switch.

which powerflow place do you use..??...the guys in Bury sorted me right out on my MK3 Valver......cheaper than chips too, gonna be popping along with mine to get some ideas.....i'm thinking Porsche Cayenne tailpipes

I just looking to have the original copied in 2 1/4in pipe mate.

No sticking out tailpipes lol, hidden like it is now
