| After having my genuine BBS splits for about a month now and have noticed that a large number of the bolts are simply spinning in there holes and not tightening. Only noticed after one bolt actually came out whilst cleaning them, so checked each bolt and heres what i found. These are the number of bolts that are loose; Front Left 11 and right 2 Rear Left 4 and right 7 Not really sure what to do, but i can see this costing a fair bit of money to fix. Would a helicoil H7 repair kit be the answer? Any help would be great, Thanks | |

| When you take the bolts out what do the threads look like? Sounds to me like they've been over tightened and stripped the threads in the wheel. | |

Did you refurb the wheels yourself? Try taking a couple of the tight ones out mate, and check them against the loose ones. Might be a case that when the wheels were refurbed someone bought the wrong width bolts maybe? Not sure myself, but its worth a shot.

| No mate. Not done by myself. The previous owner had it done just before I bought them.
Yeah like you say it's worth a shot. Looks like I'll be dismantling these at some point.

| If they are the bolts that go into the bbs rxII's you have pictured there then the thread in the wheel is very soft and they strip really easily.
Do Not Drive On Them !
Sort the threads out by either helicoiling them or drill and tap larger bolts in. I had to do this to a set before.
I have a few spare bolts if you need them.

| Thanks for the help guys, the bolts are fine, so I'll just buy a helicoil kit and get them sorted.
Anyone know the difference between a helical kit and a Time-sert kit. They look the same.

| have now ordered an M7 helicoil kit and some extra coils,
Question is, Should i recoil every bolt hole on the wheels incase it happens again or just do the ones that need doing at the moment?
