| right everyone my friend has lost his keys to his polo its 1996 1.6glx finding the keys is lookin very slim so i need to know what i need i think i need Engine Management ECU + key + transceiver collar + immobiliser but i dont know if i need the clocks any help would be grate thanks chris | |

| just google auto locksmiths, or car key cutting to code. an auto locksmith will break in and then cut and code a key for you. shouldnt cost too much going on what i have read. | |

| It would be cheaper to phone vw and ask them about getting a key cut and coded.
You would need an ecu and a key transponder (inside the key) if you wanted to swap them out.
You do not need the ring or the key, get a key cut from an auto locksmith.

| When vw program the ecu, they program out all the other keys so no one else can use thier keys to start the car even if they do let them in and turn the ignition, it wont start it. | |
