| this is my new daily! its a 1997 rover metro 1.1 been after one for a while but needed a certain model and had to be cheap. anyway i got this for free and its exactly the model i needed. all im looking for now is a 1.8 16v k series engine, ecu, alarm box and key fob. then 120bhp in a car that weighs the same as a kitkat! her she is when i picked her up last night and here she is after 10 mins of owning her | |

| not going down the vvc route as there going for £500 +!!!!!!! plus also need the wiring loom modded and cant be arsed! t-series turbo as in 2.0? if so it doesnt fit without extensive mods. they do a 1.8 k series turbo but thats mega money! i wanna keep it cheap and simples! power and reliability is the way forward! well it is when its a daily. | |

| This looks like a fun project. My mate had one as his first car and he let all the suspension fluid out so it was slammed. It only lasted a week until he got fed up of not being able to get anywhere! Was a laugh though | |

| yeah was gonna say fun till you think yeah i can make that speed bump lol my mate had one same thing dumped out all the snot so it was on the deck i liked it alot actually bumpy as fook round town but looked wicked was gonna buy it off him cheap then he smashed the sump into the bottom end goin over a speed bump and that was the end of that lol handled like a mofo in the bends though gonna fly with that engine in man | |

| this will be a good sleeper, i was on my way to southend on the A12 once in my old polo gti, i see this metro, 1.1 badged with a f**king great jap can on the rear!! slamed on its arse on the standed steels! my mate said to me, cream it!! i pulled up next to it with mine in 3rd went to floor it, and this metro took off, totaly creamed me!! he was garn! when i court up with him he was larthin at me, we see it down the sea front but he wouldnt tell us what he had in it! but it was f**king Quick!!! | |

| now have a 1600 engine ready thanks to nineiron. will be stripping both cars next weekend and fingers crossed will be up and running sat evening.
will be nice to have a daily drive again as the metro is currently sat in my carpark with a blown engine. my bug has been my daily for the last 3 weeks! | |

| just got home from work started at 1 left work at 8 got both engines out and the 1600 now wears a metro box, wiring loom, engine mounts, new cam belt kit and new water pump. going back to work about 3pm tommorrow to fit the new lump and get it running! it has to be running tommorrow as its blocking up the ramp! | |
