| Just a thought .........
How many driveshafts have you chewed now ?
If you are continually killing them you need to look as to why this is happening.
If the car's dragging on the floor (low) then the driveshafts are at the incorrect attitude to work correctly and will knacker out real quick, there are ways to eliminate this properly this but its not cheap.(shorter drive shafts is one way and engine jacking is another)
If it is due to a huge amount of torque then you need to get stronger drive shafts.
If you are killing cv joints mainly then raise your engine or keep paying for new shafts.
Cure the problem not remedy the situation.

| My MK1's not that low, I have had lower and more powerful... Its only the second one but Ive always used second hand shafts and I was kinda expecting this. I don't want to spend loads of cash changing the positioning on this MK1 so just wanted to fit new ones and see how she goes but thanks for your input. | |

| New joints will probably suit you best then.
I'd use your existing drive shaft and replace the cvs for new ones.
I would try Andrew Page for cv joints as they are killing even Euro Car Parts on price in Cambridge at the moment as they are trying to get the lions share of the Cambridge motor trade.
Sorry I dont have the number to hand.
