| Pretty much I'm trying to decide on some winter wheels and have it down to two options. I'm pretty much 50/50 on my decision so I think it's time to hear other peoples views on them. Both sets will be 17x8 with 205/45 tyres, around et35. Either OR | |

Everyone loves something a little bit different. Refurb them yourself, get a set of new tyres and you should be well under your budget. I've already seen them dude, I do like them but I just cant justify put 7j's on for winter when I'll need the grip more. Cheers for spending time looking on my behalf though, I do appreciate it. I've been browsing the classifieds of E38, Wheels Whores, UK MkIVs, Club GTi and Pistonheads with no avail. That's why I ended up at looking for a new set

Tiz is right. I know we dont get much snow here at all, but we get a lot of ice. Wider wheels wont help you on ice any more than thinner ones.

| Yeah thin tyres are better for snowy conditions max, cuts through the sludge and whatnot alot easier. Aquaplaning on motorways ain't fun | |

Though I'm starting to warm to the idea of tt comps ^^^ They look like Audi Fat Fives in that picture... TT Comp... Same kinda style, different wheels. And fitments. And sizes. I'll stop being picky now... But yeah, they'd look pretty sweet.
