I have a T reg 1.8 20v (non turbo) that's an S spec that only had 82,000 on the clock and paid around 1000 for it.

looks clean, like the colour too. so far (touch wood) mine hasn't broken anything and far better that any french shite. Mine's an estate wagon and it's not bad on fuel, depends how you plan on driving it.

Just make sure all the electrics work as they have a common problem with water ingress coming thru the pollen filter etc where the drains under the battery tray get clogged, the water drips onto the fuses/relays and flood the footwells. you can adapt a scuttle tray from a passat 5.5 to fit which will help a little diverting the water away.

nice to see another passat on here passat? 51732

hi mate just got rid of mine mpg is crap my vr6 is alot better have a look for water damage wet carpets mine had blocked drains under the battery it made the alam play up c/locking e/windows interior lights e/mirors stoped working and main dealers are the only ones that can fix it. they wanted £407.67 for a new ccm ecu and to reprogram it then they said i mite need a new wireing loom and it could be £700+. also on ukpassats people have had there marster cylinder freeze up in cold spells that why i traded mine in. best way to check this is to chuck alot of water on the windowscreen if it fill up round the battery there will be a problem this is the same on all b5 and b5.5 passats apart from this the only other thing was front suspension. it was a nice car to drive with alot of space but i wont get anther check out ukpassats for more info
