| hi there have a golf mk3 2.0 8 valve with mk2 1800 carb gearbox, sweet car goes like stink but alas my drive shaft fel off the diff cup (probably due to not tightening them up enough) i tryed to rebolt them in by hand (without the 12 sided torx bit) but when i jacked up the corner to try and rotate the shaft, the shaft did appear not to turn :( if when i do them up tight it does not solve the issue what could it be??? | |

| mine always do this too
try to 'pop' in inwards with your hand while wiggling it
the reason it locks up is the splines not sitting right
