| Wondering if anyone could help me. Looking into buying a polishing kit to do my wheels to a mirror finish. Only thing is, I know nowt about these kits or what I would need to get me going..compounds to use etc.
Joe has explained briefly but could anyone give me some advice of their own?
What kits you got/recommend? What should I be looking for?
That sorta thing...
Any help mucho appreciado. | |

| cheeky bastid! i bought a kit off ebay a while ago and after sanding down my dishes proceeded to have a go, due to the cheap quality of the coarse mop it soon broke up and starting gauging the dish....... in my opinion your probably better off giving them so someone like Joe or Jay that know what they're doing and can get the finish you desire. i know its money spent but by the time you've forked out for an ebay kit, spent god knows how many hours with wet & dry and a drill and still arent happy with the results it may just be worth it. then again it may just be that i'm a dimlow with the attention span of a grapefruit. | |

| I did briefly browse the 'bay Phil, and soon realised I didnt know what I was looking for Jonny, Joe had a blast on one of my wheels and said id be able to do it myself rather than pay him to do it, although I will be giving them back to him for a final once over | |

| i bought a kit off ebay to redo my tramont dishes before UD last year. just make sure you get a good complete kit with varied mops and compounds. then you can mix n match and see which works best for you. dont be tempted by the cheaper 1s, id assume theyre pants so buy the best you can afford | |

| dont worry to much about getting something with loads of wheels, ive got boxes of small wheels at work i can give you dude. i wishi could help more but my knowledge of starting with sand paper then compounds is little as like i said im used to fresh material to start with. ive come give you a hand if you guy a kit and see if i think the compounds are good or not. i found some more corse compound at work today but didnt seem all that. your welcome to it though if you want to have a go mate | |

| Okay dude, I just have no idea what Im looking for; speed, what compounds etc, not a scooby right now. I'll try and get over to your dads ( if you tell me where it is ) to get my wheel, take pics of the truck and get a little more advice in person if I can. If I got all four wheels to the level of polishing that you got on that wheel, would you finish them off? Or do you think I'd be able to completely do them? Lol. | |
