My Leon Cupra - Custom Front Splitter

just a little pic after cleaning and a good wax.

Now have some posh new wheels coming, well when i say coming i mean have to drive 201 miles each way to pick them up, and when i say new i mean second hand, ha ha. Going to get them saturday. Along with a set of 20mm spacers for the rear and then fitting the 15mm's on the front.

Have recently fitted a seat cupra R gear knob and gaitor, but will be changing a few colour details in the car to accomidate the new wheels, so have some new vinyl and new carbon fibre on the way aswell, also coming from the states are a few decals, again, to match the wheels.

i feel a colour theme coming on

Well, finally went the 200 mile journy each way to get the wheels, and personally worth every penny and mile. Lol. Had a major nightmare once I'd gotten home as my normal wheel bolts wouldn't fit into the holes of the alloys, so a quick dash to town and 20 bolts, 4 spiggot ring and £60 later I was all ready to go. Unfortunatly can't use any of my spacers, as the bolts are a funny lenght, so too long for 20mm hubcentric spacers and too small for normal15mm spacers, bugger, and I also don't fancy cuttin bits of them to make them shorter,

well other mods on the car over the last week include new gear knob and gaitor, few bits in the car painted White to match the wheels, rear wiper removed, smoke tinted side repeators, and a decal removed and others waitingto be put on, also thinking about putting the front and back badges back to standard shiney silver but not sure, anyways all comments welcome,

thanks lads, just a few more here, really pissed off that i cant use the spacers, might try 25mm on rear then on the front, only thing i can think of, either that or cut my new bolts which i dont really want to do? also would like to go lower, but i currently cant get in my parking space without a hell of alot of scraping and grinding :( i also have a very small amount of stretch on the tyres.

any help, what to do?

id try the 25mm on the rear dude. needs more poke looks dope though mate.

Ive always cut bolts down and never really had any problems. i wouldnt go to thick with the spacers if your already getting scrubbing issues, and it wont really sure they tyres you have to poke alot imo.

im defo goinn be dropping you a message when i get my new car for some of the carbon wrapping m8 should have put the weave the same direction on the tray at the bottom though

hmm, might be cutting them down then, only thing is i dont want 20mm on the rear and nothing on the front, so may have to get 20mm hubcentric for the front aswell, also what do you use to cuts the bolts? just a sharp hacksaw?

no mate, im not getting any scrubbing with the wheels, tyres or arch, just the underside of the car.

think i like it better with the weave in different direction, lol, just to be different. lol

i like the weave in the other direction although i didnt notice untill matty pointed it out.

you could use a hacksaw or if you can get them on a powered saw it'll be easy then linish them flat and deburr them!id do they for you at work if i wasnt so busy!

i can imagine it takeing bloody ages with a hacksaw, lol.

lol, when i tried 20mm it was quite close to the arches then, anyone got 25mm hubcentric ones i can just try?

wicked, thank you bud, would have to take a few bolts off the wheels as they are the only ones i have for the wheels. would only need 10 doing at first, but depends weather or not 25mm looks good and fits.
