Got a 20v and want more ?

This is a thinly veiled advert and big up for one of my friends...

I went down to Woodbridge near deepest darkest Ipswich today to Tomas Magel a polish fella I know who is a proper wizz with 20v ecu's.

Today he lifted the immobiliser on my ECU that I am going to plop into the mk1, this negates the need for key,clocks etc that you need for a conversion. He also remapped it while he was there.

He is now prepared to remap your ecu either on the car or by post and being a forum member is willing to offer you lot, a discount.

He expects to see at least 200 brake with a mk2 agu engine, more can be had but you have to discuss it with him.
He is VERY polish and there may be comunication issues but stick with it you will not be dissapointed.
If you mention that you got his number from me then he will discount you to a little over £200 .

I will be using him to remap the 20v thats going into the mk3 too as he reckons with very little work that the agu can spit 350.

Was gunna say 350bhp's a bit much lol, pushing it for an Eliminator, would have to be running IHI or garret system ect. That's not very little work lol. I'd also say 200bhp from an agu is on the limit from just a remap. Not to knock his work or anything mate, like already said the more contacts and numbers the better in this game.

I have dropped on a generic remap onto an agu ecu for a mate and took it to the rollers , it made 215 at the fly. Its been reliable and hasn't popped or farted let alone missed a beat.
His fuel consumption has gone down also.

200 bhp is about standard for a map on a 20vt to be honest, 350 on the other hand is defo alot of work and a little more than 200quid

Surely the K03 is gunna be well out of breath at 200bhp, 215 sounds more like an AUM or another code with a K03s (from just a remap)

No not at all, jabbasport quote an easy 200-215 from the agu with a generic remap and nothing else.

not really needed mine was custom mapped at jabba with just a cat back iirc and made 200 at the wheels, they won't base there figures on a modded car as not everyone will have one.

So if you add the amount of loss throught the gearbox which is usually around 35ish brake then it is showing a good healthy 235 ish at the flywheel.
Thats a good figure.
I bet it pulls really strong with little to little to no fbw lag.

In all honesty I got myself tied up and forgot what I'd done and where, after checking I realised my silly school boy error and put my hands up and yes it is the ko3s that makes more power than the boggo ko3, And yes you were right 200 is about it for a 20v on the ko3.

AGU is the better engine though as it's got the bigger ported head and valves. Rtec have a generic map for an AGU running K03s that touch's 230bhp, now imagine that with a hi-flow downpipe, cat back, recirc valve ect ect

my car is pushin 230 its ajq engine code ko3s turbo an it goes well its been like that for 18 months but alls about to change this week ive got full k04 setup goin in intake manifold injectors etc also all silicone hoses fmic a 3inch downpipe an hiflow sports cat 4 bar fule presure reg so should be closer to 300 buy the end of the week after AMD custom map it

I'm quick enough to shoot someone down when they are wrong so I HAVE to be big enough to put my hands up when I'm wrong, I think what happened was I have been chatting about so much 20v stuff I got my engine codes arse about earole.
Now, the agu head is the better head without a doubt and one of those on the aum block and internals would be a very good bet.
I think I may just start having a look faround or one and tickle it up then chuck it on while the engine's out for the transplant.
I'll have to see how the money goes this christmas.

i got an apx engine sittin in the garage there 225 bhp low comp forged pistons rods etc might be of use to u got all the 4wd running gear aswell propsthaft rear diff subframes so might stick it in a mk2 golf after xmas so will have sumthin else to do when i get brored of mine

I might have a buyer of the 4wd gear stuff, i'll pm him and see if he's interested, as for my conversion I'm chucking a 20v from the mk4 I bought with the dash complete loom well everything over to my mk3 vr6 highline then shifting the vr running gear loom dash etc into an un named mk2 I havent bought yet, so if you know of a late (h or j) 3 door shell (pref white) I'm in the market for one.
And then the mrs will drive the Highline as a daily and I'm going to charge the vr before chucking it in a mk2 as my toy. I got a mk1 awaiting a 20v in one of the workshops too..... I may be interest in the block anyways, I'm not sure how my money is going to pan out, as we have just lashed out on a gokart for the lad and we need to see how much that is going to take to run plus I may need a van to run it all around in yet so I;ll have to watch the pennies.

is there a bloke in littleport with the same conversion as ure doin its a black mk3 vr6 with 20v runnin emerald managment yeah let me no about the running gear

I just had to go and check to see what was under the bonnet of the mk4 as I couldn't be sure and its an AGU so i may well be very interested in your block, do you have an idea of how much for the bare block ?
