Not much of an update really. Just cracking on with the painting of parts. Need a big injection of cash early next year and i should get the Jetta done for July time.

Pink done on the starter...got the black to do next.

The glass from the Jetta will be with the company who are going to make my Lexan windows in the next week or so. They should be done just after Christmas.

Got to measure up this weekend the size i want my radiator...then i can get a quote for this.

All the engine parts except for the starter and rocker cover will be done in Gloss Black.

The engine bay is going to be done in Hammered Black.

Got loads of spot welds to drill out and then a load of brackets can come out of the car along with the back seat. Need to remove all the factory fitted tar stuff that is on the floor. Then when i actually manage to get a dry day and a full day on it i will be cutting out the door inners

Started stripping the factory sound deadening last night and clearing up the boot.





Also got the grinder out to see how clean the metal would come up and to see if i could find the spot welds for the spare wheel well. There are quite a few :( But at lease i have made a start now...so for me Christmas will mostly be about stripping all sound deadening from the inside of the Jetta and prepping it for a lick of paint

I've thought about it...but i think i will just be crewing for the first few events....unless i have something else to race...but probably just crewing.

do it!! I had to race my old t25 for a few events whilst my mk2 was being built, it ran a p**s poor 21.3 pb you need to be in the events if you're going to take the championship dude Fingers crossed I'll get to every one this year and make things a little tougher for that Hodson fella

my jetta is sitting outside pretty much untouched since the last race I think. It's in my bad books for not winning or even being fast!!

if you just get into the 12s it will be good, as me, you and lucky could all go heads up! we think his vr in his mk2 with a little sniff of gas should get in there reasonably well.

oh yes and if you cut out your spare wheel well, don't forget you'll need to fill the hole again with something fireproof.

yep, I'm pretty sure it will. That's what I stuck over the boot floor in my golf and I had no troubles scrutinizing with that.
