fink they are bit out my price range atm lol

it hink your best option would be lowering springs untill you can afford coilovers. i dont think you can modify golf suspension because the polo hubs are totaly different. if im right its the hubs that are the reason?

any ideas where to get some good lowering springs from?

i got mine from venom motor sport if thats any help. think it was a supersport shox and spring kit.

how much where they and wat did they lower the car by ?

180 quid for kit i think. had them nearly 18 months and still feel good. i got 60mm all round. (sits little bit lower at back than the front) you can get 40mm, 60mm and i think 80mm. check out there're website!!!!

Are you signed up on Club Polo? Have a look in the Jackson Tuning section of the forum for the suspension kits. I'm running one of those suspension kits on my Mk2F (MK3 effectively) and it does the job without having the worry of cut springs. They're around the £150-160 mark for shocks and springs and the rear has adjustable ride height.

They are very stiff though, just so you're aware. If i run over the yellow markings you get on the approach to roundabouts then my dash blurs!

Why has no one suggested banding the steels you have for wheels. Sod mot just chop the springs and find a friendly mot tester.

IMO I would remove the red stripe from the car aswell.

tryed removeing it wif hairdryer didnt work tho

Just get most of with a hair dryer then polish the sticky marks off or rub very lightly with petrol to loosen

run fine and now it wont idle

has it got manual choke? if it has, does the car idle with the choke pulled right out?

yh it has manual choke
and it idles at bout 3000 wen choke is fully out

any ideas wats wrong with it ?

and you've tried adjusting the co/mixture screw? have you used all the gaskets where they're needed? was the rubber carb mount on manifold in good condition/perished?

mate have you just tried playing around with the choke cos all carbs are different with where they like it to sit until they are warmed up! and did you buy it second hand or new mate??
