| i've been looking for coilovers for mine for ages. hard to get hold of and pretty expensive when you do find them. each to he's own when it comes to modifying and choosing wheels. anythin over 14inch mite give you arch probs. you just gotta do what you wanna do i guess. the bodykit was the first thing to come off mine, but some people keep it on. depends what look ur after!!!!!!!! | |

| yeah, side trims, arches, skirt, front trim. i will at some stage put a build thread on here so people can see before and after on mine. it really depends on what look ur after mate. if ya wanna ride wide wheels you mite wanna keep the arches on. scour the net for ideas on wheels etc etc...... | |

| its not really a good idea, makes the handling really bad and will fail an mot i think. wouldnt attempt it without spring clamps eather. theres alot of power in a srping! | |

| on something slow that you dont want to set the world alight with cut springs are fine. I even ran cut springs on my mk2 vr6 for ages before i got coilies and in comparison the cheap coilies were worse. | |

| dont know whether im wrong but i dont think you can get a full set of coilees for old polo's. ive got a feeling you can get them for the rear but on the front you have to get a spring set or shock and spring kit, if possible. i think its something to do with the set up and design of polo suspension. theres been mk3's in mag's before with just rear coilees and spring/shocks on front. dont know if its the same for mk2's. nice car though mate. theres a similar one parked up in a town local to me in lincolnshire, unless you have bought it (ive been on hol, so have not been around)...i always wanted to find the owner and offer pocket change for it | |
