| My polo was idleing pretty sh1te so i took off the air filter and noticed that the little plug that attaches to the carb wasnt attached so i plugged it in. The idlein was fine after that but now it revs on its own ive played about with the carb but nothin seems 2 work. Anyone know wat it could be ? cheers | |

| probably the throttle position sensor was unplugged.
By the way its a throttle body not a carb if its the polo in your avatar.
Disconnect the battery for about half an hour then reconnect it, will reset the ECU and should realise that the throttle position sensor is now working and set it in the right place. | |

| get some brake cleaner and an old tooth brush, clean the throttlebody out then reset the ECU again, sometimes they get gummed up and hold the throttle open a bit | |

| doubt it will need new parts, zara(z-dubber) on here, her 1.0 used to all sorts of weird things, took the airbox off, cleaned all the breather pipes and cleaned the throttlebody after an ecu reset it was fine. | |
